Dear Mesa Arts Academy Community,
We hope the new year has begun positively for each of you. Here at Mesa Arts Academy, we are engaged in daily learning and activities. Our commitment is to foster a positive environment and to create the best possible learning atmosphere. High-quality instruction and student learning remain our top priorities. Every initiative at Mesa Arts Academy is designed to facilitate student success in various areas, extending well beyond their time with us. The partnership between school and home is essential for student achievement, and we hope your children feel safe and supported during this pivotal and occasionally challenging period in their development. Should you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to us.
It is difficult to believe that we have already surpassed the halfway mark of the academic year. Students have acclimated to their routines and are familiar with our school-wide expectations. Our teachers have diligently worked to create meaningful learning experiences while emphasizing our behavioral standards. Consistency and predictability are critical factors in fostering student success, as is maintaining a calm learning environment to enhance focus.
A reminder regarding attendance: the bell rings at 7:25 a.m., and school begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. Students must be in their classrooms by 7:30 a.m. to avoid being marked absent/tardy. When a student arrives late, they miss valuable time with both their classmates and teachers, as many educators utilize this period for team-building and community engagement. After 7:30 a.m., parents must sign their child in at the front office.

Nuestro compromiso es fomentar un ambiente positivo y crear el mejor ambiente de aprendizaje posible. La enseñanza de alta calidad y el aprendizaje estudiantil siguen siendo nuestras principales prioridades. Cada iniciativa en Mesa Arts Academy está diseñada para facilitar el éxito estudiantil en diversas áreas, extendiéndose mucho más allá de su tiempo con nosotros. La colaboración entre la escuela y el hogar es esencial para el éxito estudiantil, y esperamos que sus hijos se sientan seguros y apoyados durante este período crucial, y a veces desafiante, de su desarrollo. Dear Mesa Arts Academy Community,
As we near the conclusion of 2025, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering commitment to Mesa Arts Academy. The success we have achieved since the beginning of the school year is largely attributable to the engagement of parents, caregivers, and families like yours. I would especially like to thank everyone who participated in Reading Under the Stars; it was truly exhilarating to witness our students enjoying the evening with their families. I also wish to express my appreciation to our dedicated teachers and the Mesa Arts Academy Parent Organization (MAAPO) for their steadfast support.
I hope you have a restful winter break and cherish this time with your loved ones. As we transition into the New Year, I wish you health and happiness.
Please note that school will be closed starting December 19th. During this winter break, consider ways to strengthen your bond with your children and continue to support their academic growth. The holiday season presents a wonderful opportunity for storytelling around the dinner table or maintaining bedtime reading routines, both of which help bridge home and school expectations. Young learners thrive on consistent schedules, so I encourage you to prepare them for their return to school on Tuesday, January 6th, by emphasizing the importance of being well-rested and ready to learn.

Estimada comunidad de Mesa Arts Academy:
Al acercarnos al final del año 2025, quisiera expresar mi más sincera gratitud por su inquebrantable compromiso con Mesa Arts Academy. El éxito que hemos alcanzado desde el inicio del año escolar se debe en gran medida a la participación de padres, cuidadores y familias como la suya. Quisiera agradecer especialmente a todos los que participaron en “Noche de Lectura”; fue realmente emocionante ver a nuestros estudiantes disfrutar de la tarde con sus familias. También deseo expresar mi agradecimiento a nuestros dedicados maestros y a la Organización de Padres de la Academia de Artes de Mesa (MAAPO) por su
constante apoyo.
Espero que tengan unas tranquilas vacaciones de invierno y que disfruten de este tiempo con sus seres queridos. Al entrar en el Año Nuevo, les deseo salud y felicidad.
Tenga en cuenta que la escuela estará cerrada a partir del 19 de diciembre. Durante estas vacaciones de invierno, considere maneras de fortalecer el vínculo con sus hijos y continuar apoyando su crecimiento académico. La temporada navideña ofrece una maravillosa oportunidad para contar cuentos en la mesa o mantener rutinas de lectura antes de dormir, lo cual ayuda a conciliar las expectativas del hogar y la escuela.
