Dear MAA Families – May 7, 2020
Dear Mesa Arts Academy Families,
We will continue to follow Governor Ducey’s stay at home order. Below are some updates:
- The school office will be open Monday-Thursday from 7:00am -4:00pm. We will continue to serve breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday from 11:00am-1:00pm.
- Childcare is being provided to children of medical professionals through the Boys & Girls Clubs of The Valley so they can tend to the needs of our community. Please see this link for the closest club open during this time: https://bgcmp.org/updates/.
- New packets of work will be available for pickup on Monday, May 11th. These packets will last the students through the end of the school year.
- Please contact the office to pick up your child’s medication. All medication will be thrown out after May 21st.
- Yearbooks for the school are on sale for $15. They can be paid in person at the office or by card over the phone. They will be available for pick up the first week of June.
- Please stop by to pick up your child’s personal items from classrooms, desks, etc., as well as return items which belong to the school.
- A team has been designated to address Kinder and 8th grade graduation. They will be sending out invitations soon.
- Registration for 2020-2021 school year will begin on May 18th. All students who are currently enrolled have a spot saved for next year unless we were notified of your child not returning. If you know of families who are interested in our program, please send them our way.
- We’re conducting a quick survey regarding technology from all of the families. Please call or email us with answers to the following questions. This is in preparation for next year if quarantine is still in place.

I would encourage you to maintain contact with us and individual teacher(s) with questions related to instruction. A big shout out to MAAPO (parent organization) for helping make teacher appreciation week happen even during quarantine. If you have not joined this amazing group, there is still time to join for next year.

Estimadas familias de Mesa Arts Academy,
Continuaremos siguiendo el orden de permanecer en casa por del gobernador Ducey. Abajo están las actualizaciones:
- La oficina de la escuela estará abierta de lunes a jueves de 7:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m. Continuaremos sirviendo desayuno y almuerzo de lunes a viernes de 11:00 a.m. a 1:00 p.m.

Todos los estudiantes que están actualmente inscritos tienen un lugar reservado para el próximo año a menos que se nos notifique que su hijo no regresará. Si conoce familias que están interesadas en nuestro programa, envíenoslas.
- Estamos realizando una encuesta rápida sobre tecnología de todas las familias. Llámenos o envíenos un correo electrónico con las respuestas a las siguientes preguntas. Esto está en preparación para el próximo año si la cuarentena todavía está en su lugar.

Le animo a que se mantenga en contacto con nosotros y con los maestros individuales con preguntas relacionadas con la instrucción. Un gran agradecimiento a MAAPO (organización de padres) por ayudar a que la semana de apreciación de los maestros ocurra incluso durante la cuarentena. Si no se ha unido a este increíble grupo, todavía hay tiempo para unirse para el próximo año.
