March 2026 Newsletter
Dear Mesa Arts Academy Community,
Spring and Spring Break are upon us, signaling the conclusion of the third quarter and the onset of the fourth quarter time certainly flies! Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for March 9 to March 13th, followed by Spring Break from March 16th to March 20th.
In early April, students in grades 3through 8 will participate in the AASA state assessment, while 5th and 8th graders will take the AZSCI Science assessment. We will kick off this testing period with an engaging Pep Rally, where teachers will showcase their talents.
To ensure your children perform to the best of their abilities on these assessments, your support is crucial. Please consult the calendar and ensure your children attend school on time during testing days. Research indicates that students who take tests with their classmates generally perform better than those who require make-up sessions. We strive to maintain a positive atmosphere on campus throughout the testing period, and you can contribute by ensuring timely arrivals.
Additionally, it is important that students are well-rested and approach the testing with a positive mindset. During this time, students will enjoy extra breaks and will not have homework. We will provide a nutritious breakfast and snacks for al testing students, and teachers may reach out for donations of breakfast items and snacks to support this initiative. Together, we can transform this testing experience into a constructive one.
Testing can induce anxiety among students, so please prioritize their rest and nutrition leading up to the assessments.
I am eager to conclude the school year on a high note! The growth we have witnessed from the beginning of the year to the present has been remarkable, and it is wonderful to see the children enthusiastic about school and learning.
